President Maithripala Sirisena headed a business meeting, participated by the businessmen and investors of Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The meeting was held on Dec. 15 in Kuala Lumpur, with the objective of enhancing the trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
This meeting has been organized by the investment boards, export development boards and the offices of the High Commissioners of the two countries. Large number of investors and businessmen of Sri Lanka and Malaysia participated in this meeting.
During this discussion, the attention was paid on expanding of new trade opportunities.
The President, recalling that the coming three years has been named as development years of Sri Lanka, requested the Malaysian investors to invest in Sri Lanka. He stated that the government is ready to provide all facilities for the investors on this regard.
