CHANGE THE STATUS FROM MIDDLE EAST TO ALL COUNTRIES

Change the Status from Middle East to All Countries

This service allows applicants to remove the “Middle East Only” travel restriction from their Sri Lankan passport and convert it into a passport valid for all countries. Upon approval, the change will be endorsed as a handwritten entry on the Alteration and Observation page of the passport, with official stamps and logos.

 

  1. Duly filled Application Form [Download Application Form “E”]
  2. Request letter from the applicant
  3. Original Passport
  4. Copy of the Passport

Note that now you can do the payments in Cash or Credit/Debit Cards

Please note that the applicant should be presented to submit the application

Within 30 minutes.

  1. Application should be filled preferably in BLOCK letters
  2. The application and original documents should be submitted along with photocopies.
You can submit the application to the Consular Section of the Consulate General by hand. The Consular Section is open from Monday to Friday (8.30 am to 1.00 pm).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APPLICANT SHOULD PHYSICALLY BE PRESENT TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION AND FOR COLLECTION AS WELL.
