Mr. S.S. Hettiarachchi has been appointed as the Secretary to the Education Ministry.
He will assume duties tomorrow at 9.30 a.m. at the Education Ministry Isurupaya, Battaramulla.
He is an officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (Supra).
During his career spanning over three decades he has held many posts including the post of Director General Pensions Department.
Mr. Hettiarachchi was appointed as the Education Ministry Secretary while he was working as an additional secretary to President Maithripala Sirisena.
