Consul General Meets President & CEO of Dubai Chambers On 18th June 2025, the Consul General of Sri Lanka in Dubai, Hon. Alexi Gunasekera, met with H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, at the Dubai Chambers headquarters. He was joined by Mr. U.P. Jayasinghe, Senior Deputy Director of the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka, along with officials from the Sri Lanka Consulate General and Dubai Chambers. During the meeting, the Consul General briefed CEO Lootah on the upcoming participation of a Sri Lankan delegation at GITEX 2025 and invited the support of Dubai Chambers to promote this engagement. He also requested the Chamber’s assistance in organizing a business delegation from the UAE to attend the Disrupt Asia 2025 summit in Sri Lanka. Discussions further explored the possibility of hosting a roundtable session involving leading business figures from both countries, with the aim of enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
