CONFIRMATION OF GENUINENESS / EQUIVALENCY CERTIFICATE
A Genuine Certificate is issued to verify the authenticity of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD qualification obtained from a recognized university in Sri Lanka, upon the request of the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE). This certificate serves as a supporting document for the UAE equivalency application process.
The certificate includes key details related to the degree, such as the full name of the degree holder, the field of specialization, duration of the study programme, mode of study, and other relevant information, based on the data provided by the respective university in Sri Lanka.
To apply for the Genuine Certificate, the following must be submitted in person at the Consulate General:

Applicant’s original Passport with a copy

Formal written request from the applicantÂ
– A letter addressed to the Consul General requesting the certificate
– Must include your full name, passport number, purpose of the request, and contact details -
Original Degree Certificate
– Must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka
– Include a photocopy of the attested certificate
Note: Applicants must provide the official contact details of the Registrar of the awarding university or institution in Sri Lanka. This information is essential for the Consulate General to verify the authenticity of the degree directly with the institution.
