The authorities have inspected 31,718 premises on the first day of the Three-Day National Dengue Prevention Program commenced yesterday (13th July)
The program implemented under the directives of the Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne was inaugurated at the Maradana Railway Station premises under the patronage of the Director General of Health Services Dr. Palitha Mahipala.
According to the records, 50% of the reported patients were found from Colombo district. A rise could be seen in the number of patients from Kaduwela, Kolonnawa, Dehiwala, and Mount Lavinia Municipal council areas.
On its part the Health Ministry, has extended the fumigation, OPD services, and laboratory services to serve the patients suspected of Dengue.
Additional Medical officers, and the nurses have been attached to the medical institutions and the medicines are also being provided as necessary. Program will conclude tomorrow (15th July).
